According to the terms set forth in the Delaware Code and Governor Carney’s Executive Order Number 62, DEFAC’s tentative meeting dates for Fiscal Year 2025 are below. These dates may be subject to change. DEFAC’s Chairperson may also schedule additional meetings. Please check the Public Meeting Calendar for start times.

DEFAC Public Comment Format
DEFAC welcomes public comment on any matters that come before the Council (see Executive Order 62). Written public comment to DEFAC may be submitted by email at any time to defac@delaware.gov with a name, email or street address, and the name of any organization(s) the person represents. Persons wishing to provide verbal public comment during a DEFAC meeting must sign-up prior to the start of the meeting. In-person participants may sign up at the meeting site. If the meeting has a remote option, the participant must register by 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the full council meeting via email at defac@delaware.gov by providing their name and the email address or phone number they will be using to remotely access the meeting along with the name of any organization(s) the person represents. Public comment will be timed and limited to 2 minutes per speaker. At the discretion of the Chair, aggregate public comment may be limited to no more than 20 minutes at any one meeting of DEFAC.
According to Governor Carney’s Executive Order Number 62, DEFAC shall consist of at least 25 members appointed by the Governor to serve during his pleasure, including four members of the General Assembly, to include one member from each of the House Majority and Minority caucuses, who shall be designated by the Speaker of the House, and one member from each of the Senate Majority and Minority caucuses, who shall be designated by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. The membership of DEFAC shall broadly represent both the public and private sectors of the State’s economy. The Governor shall designate a Chairperson of DEFAC from among its members.
